I've been hosting since 1997 and have seen a fair number of hosts and so far I am extremely impressed with Vortech.
Although I've only just joined, the initial setup was fast and smooth save for some complications that were my own fault and got sorted out speedily.
I spent quite a while trawling the forums and chatting with other customers. What I have discovered is the following:
- Real support people who are more than adequately skilled.
- Forums with a wealth of knowledge.
- Transparent. (they even have live MRTG graphs online)
- Flexible. They tend to move with the times and respond to unusual customer requests within reason
- Their competitive pricing does not deprive their support, network etc, as is OFTEN the case.

I feel that (from experience) other companies would be inclined to finish their holidays first.

Like yourself, mine is a small company. Many hosting companies tend to pay attention mostly/only to the "big guys"; Matrix has shown themselves to support clients of all sizes.
Overall, the difference in other hosting companies and my experience with Matrix ix that they genuinely care about their customers, and go well above the call of duty in supporting their needs.

Having had a friend who used a different company which thought that support was a before-sales option, I was pleasantly surprised and this friend is now going to sign up with Vortech. The control panel is easy to use and there are many tutorials to help you along the way. (my2cents)I've only had to call for support a couple of times since signing
up with your resellers service and I must say your support team has on all
occasions have responded with patience and courtesy and more importantly in
all cases helped me resolve my issues even when the fault was clearly on my
end. I'm not accustomed to getting this level of service from internet based
businesses but I sure do like it!

Sites disappeared with no explanation, mysteriously were not on backup tapes - every imaginable mishap all without any shred of responsibility from their datacenters. I'm nearing two years with Vortech and could not be happier with the staff, their support, and uptime that matches what was promised. Vortech proactively manages everything and on the extremely rare instance where something goes wrong they fix it with honest and open communication. Support is superb with a great ticketing system and fast response. Last week I called because my domain register (AITdomains which I
now have found out is very BAD at service, and I will change in future.)
had still not changed my ns2 and ns3 to correct IP addresses. Politely
your support staff answered the phone and I explained my problems with
my register. I believe it was Alex or someone told me that several other
customer had also had problems. Basically I was told they would hold off
a little bit on removing the old IP numbers. It has taken over 3 weeks
of constant effort but I have finally gotten all my name servers changed
to correct IP addresses.
What I'm writing about was your company's willingness to adjust
their schedule based on customer's issues. Most any other company I have
worked with in past would have just said too bad and gone ahead with
changes. Shutting off an unknown number of web sites. Although it was
the fault of each us resellers for not getting this done sooner, it was
still outstanding that you reacted in a such good way toward your
customer's problems.
Again this reinforces why I'm so HAPPY that I found your company to
do business with. It is also why I will be a loyal customer. Plus as my
business grows I will always be coming to use your services.

last night and the night before I received requests from customers very late at night who needed assistance that had to come from Matrix because it wasn't anything that could be fixed via the Control Panel. Both times I submitted a ticket expecting to wait until the next morning because it was outside of Matrix's published support hours. Both times the tickets were answered and the customer need taken care of within an hour.
